1.What happens to existing users if SSO comes in, Do they loose their saved usernames and passwords and all their role data?
Nothing happens to existing users, they can log in with their Fewzion account OR SSO if they have are a part the active directory group that has access to Fewzion.
2. In the document explaining SSO - it says that the Admin will assign the roles to users, so if there a are 150 users with varying access, so will the admin have to manually assign all these users roles? How is that feasible?
The admin only has to manually assign roles to the new SSO users - not for existing, no changes are made to existing folk, to note though:
(b) After Step 1, If the site chooses, we can remove the users' Fewzion login details - which means
3. What is the lead time or the time it would require to set up SSO, to complete the process? Answer:
It only takes a day to set up the configuration, but to test the feature and also to get all the details and approvals from the site, it takes time. So I would say it takes 2 to 3 weeks time to set it up completely. Please note, that this is only a one time set up, once its set up, users can be easily added.
